Microsoft Outlook 2003

To add a new account to Outlook 2003:

  1. Open Outlook 2003.
  2. Select the Tools menu and click on E-mail Accounts. You should see a dialog box similar to the following. Select Add a new e-mail account and click Next.

  3. On the Server Type page select POP3 and click Next.

  4. In the next dialog box, you'll need to enter information you received from SupraNet or from your network administrator. If you don't have this information, please contact SupraNet or your network administrator for assistance.

    • Enter your name in the "Your Name:" field.
    • Enter your email address in the "E-mail Address:" field.
    • In the "Incoming mail server (POP3):" and "Outgoing mail server (SMTP):" fields, enter mail.yourcompany.com. If you don't know your mail server's name, mail.supranet.net will also work.
    • Enter the username and password supplied to you in the appropriate fields. If you don't want to type in your password every time you check your mail, check "Remember password."
  5. Next, click on the "More Settings..." button. In the window that appears, select the "Outgoing Server" tab. Check the box next to "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication." You may use the same settings as the incoming mail server.

  6. Click on the Advanced tab. Change the value in the "Outgoing server (SMTP):" field to 587 and click OK.

  7. Once you're back to the E-mail Accounts window, click on the "Test Account Settings..." button. If all went well, you'll see the following.

  8. Click the "Close" button to return to the E-mail Accounts window. Click the "Next >" button to finish the account setup.

  9. That's it! Your new SupraNet email account is set up. If you received errors during your setup, or your new mail account doesn't work, please call us at 608.836.0282.
