Logging In
If you have been supplied with an administrative username and password, you can log in at https://mailbox.supranet.net/admin to access your domain's settings.
Adding Aliases
Aliases are pseudo-mailboxes that forward received mail to other addresses. A common example would be resumes@company.com going to the human resources director's mailbox.
- From the main menu, click "Add, delete and manage aliases, forwards and a Catchall."
- Click "Add Alias" from the navigation bar on the left. Field explanations:
- Alias Name: The display name of the alias.
- Address: The alias address that you want to create.
- Forward To: The full address(es) of the recipient of the aliased account. If you specify multiple addresses, they must be separated by only a comma (no spaces).
- Password: If you would like the alias to be able to log in, create and verify a password.
- Admin: Check this if you would like the alias account to have administrative rights for your domain.
- Enabled: Enable or disable the alias. Aliases that have been disabled cannot be accessed by users, and mail sent to them will be rejected by the server.
- Click the Submit button to create the new alias.
Deleting Aliases
- Click on "Add, delete and manage aliases, forwards and a Catchall." from the main menu.
- In the list of aliases, click the trash can icon next to the alias you wish to delete.
- Select "Delete someone@somewhere.com" and click the Continue button.
Adding a Catchall
A catchall is a sort of a dump mailbox. All mail that is received by a domain for nonexistent mailboxes will be funnelled into the catchall. You may only have one catchall per domain.
Note: when a catchall is configured, senders will not receive a bounced message reply when they send to addresses that don't exist.
- From the main menu, click "Add, delete and manage aliases, forwards and a Catchall."
- Click "Add Catchall" from the navigation bar on the left.
- Enter the full address of the account you'd like to receive the catchall mail.
- Click the Submit button to create the catchall.
Modifying Aliases
- From the main menu, click "Add, delete and manage aliases, forwards and a Catchall."
- Find the alias in the list of names you'd like to modify.
- Anti-virus: Check this box if you'd like messages passing through the alias to be scanned for viruses.
- Spamassassin: Check this box if you'd like messages passing through the alias to be spam filtered.
- Enabled: Enable or disable the alias. Aliases that have been disabled cannot be accessed by users, and mail sent to them will be rejected by the server.
- Click the Submit button to complete modifcations to the alias.
